With the helpful support of Sega of Germany and the "Konsolerie" in Nuremberg, the second tournament held on german soil promises to be a tightly packed challenge. Again Germany's best gamers still fighting on Sega's old warhorse come together in order to determine the best retrogamer out there. |
The Challenge:
Contrary to last year's inaugural tournament, the Second German Mega Drive Championships will commence in a series of Knockout tournaments throughout six predetermined categories: |
Platform: | Sonic the Hedgehog 2 |
Racing: | Micro Machines 2 |
Sports: | NBA Jam Tournament Edition |
Puzzle: | Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine |
Action: | Mega Bomberman |
Fighting: | Super Street Fighter 2* | |
*(Eternal Champions would have been another choice, but we went with the Street Fighter franchise because of the wider appeal!) |
Participating and advancing in each event will grant the player points, adding up to his overall score. You don't need to compete in every game - but it improves the chances for becoming Germany's Mega Drive Champion! (Of course, we'll also have something for the winner in each event!) |
