Commander Graham's first tournament saw him collect the Golden Leaf Runner-Up trophy. As a new tournament member he had to endure the qualifying section of the Challenge Cup, of which he successfully passed. He scrapped through Rounds 1 & 2 with narrow 2 - 1 victories over Doc Shakib and Earl Holbrook, Commander Graham earned his place against Lord Dilks in the final. Although, Commander Graham was unable to beat the six-times Champion he managed to win a round, something that prior to the Fifteenth Championship, only Mr Smith had succeeded in. Because of Commander Graham's lengthy journey through the Challenge Cup, by the time the Fifteenth Tournament was finished he had played Eternal Champions on six occasions - a tournament record. Despite some excellent league performances losing twice to Doc Shakib caused him to finish in second place. Doc Shakib would prove to be Commander Graham's bane in the Knockout, beating him 6-3, in Round 1, on Pete Sampras Tennis.
