In his first tournament Old Spice Lock achieved the worst Division Two performance of all time, no points from eight league games. He claimed he would be happy with one point and the closest he came was in his 2-1 defeat against Chaplain Womersley on Streets of Rage 2, in a game which the final blow for either player would have secured victory. Chaplain Womersley was the man who beat Old Spice in Round One of the Knockout, while in the Challenge Cup he failed to progress beyond the Qualifying Stage.
