KNOCKOUT FINAL PREVIEW
LORD DILKS Vs PRINCESS CHARLENE

This time one year ago, Lord Dilks and Doc Shakib were preparing themselves to battle on NBA Jam. After six months of battling the Third Knockout is soon to be completed. This tournament always promised a more open competition (as is the case when Doc Shakib, Lord Dilks or Mr Smith face each other in Round 1), but nobody could predict the amazing surge by new member, Princess Charlene, who propelled herself into the final. The other finalist, Lord Dilks, comes as no real shock. He is the most successful Knockout player: winning once and making it into the final twice. Perhaps this won't be an epic clash, however, it will certainly be a worthy end to this Knockout.

"There are no easy games." - Lord Dilks
"I'm going to quit now." - Princess Charlene

PATHS TO THE FINAL

LORD DILKS

PRINCESS CHARLENE

ROUND 1
51-49, Vs Mr Smith

ROUND 1
3-1, Vs Lieutenant Gareth

The two tournament titans went head-to-head in the first round. Neither could claim to excelling on NBA Jam. This was a close game from start to finish and neither titan was able to dominate. In the end it seemed that it was only a little bit of luck that pushed Lord Dilks into the Semi-Final.

Princess Charlene's first ever tournament game was against Tenth Tournament Division Two winner, Lieutenant Gareth. They were selected to battle on Sonic 2. After Emerald Hill Princess Charlene had as good as booked her place in the semi-finals, up 2-0. Gareth rallied and pulled the score back to 2-1 after Casino Night 1, however, Princess Charlene got the final laugh winning 3-1.

SEMI-FINAL
2-0, Vs Prof Mizutani

SEMI-FINAL
4-0, Vs Doc Shakib

This was the first time Ball Jacks was played professionally. Prof Mizutani was the slower off the mark and paid dearly for it, with Lord Dilks snatching a quick 1-0 advantage. Adaptability would always be the key factor in this clash and Chris proved the most skilled. The second round was a more drawn out version of the first. Final score, 2-0.

Princess Charlene cruised to a simple victory against one time Megadrive Champion and once Knockout finalist, Doc Shakib. On World Cup Italia '90 Atheer was the clear favourite to claim a second successive final, but he was unable put up any form of resistance and Princess Charlene swept him aside in a convincing 4-0 win.

THE FINAL - PREDICTION

Vs

Lord Dilks is by far the best Pete Sampras Tennis player out of everybody currently affiliated with the Megadrive Championships. To even been considered as a challenge, Princess Charlene must produce the same sort of form that blew away Doc Shakib in the Semi-Final. Lord Dilks need only play to the same standard we are so used to in league events to claim himself another easy victory on Pete Sampras Tennis. Overall it's a pretty safe bet that Lord Dilks will claim his second knockout title.
