2-PLAYER VS:

For a game which inspired both the Tournament Knockout and the Challenge Trophy, Super Street Fighter 2 was completely overlooked when the league was set-up. By the Fourth Tournament attempts were being made to rectify the original oversight. The biggest problem was that by adding a new game the number of fixtures would increase to a ridiculous amount. Suggestions to replace either Golden Axe 2 or World Cup Italia '90 with Super Street Fighter 2 never materialised and it was only when a draw system was added, at the Seventh Mega Drive Championship, that Super Street Fighter 2 became a tournament game. Former member, Mr Smith, is ranked slightly ahead of Lord Dilks - the best of the current crop of members. Commander Graham and Captain Maltby also show promise on this game.
